Umar runs a great shop, and his customer service is amazing. I love this product and was impressed with the quality of the weapon. The sword that arrives is slightly different from the one advertised, as other reviews have pointed out. I thought the missing metal band on the scabbard would bother me, but after receiving the sword it seems like a trivial detail. The leather wrap around the handle of this particular piece was cut a little long so it is bunched up around the middle of the hilt. Not a big problem, but I will have to see if it will weather with repeated use over time. Additionally, the leather on the hit must have been scuffed in transit, it’s a minor and specific thing and not necessarily Umar’s fault. Overall I really like the blade and appreciate Umar’s work, will be returning to this shop in the future.
